Lockdown diary, day 16

It says something about how much less driving we are all doing that after a run to the sho9ps to pick up essential food supplies, I had to fill up the law fuel consumption car which I usually use to go to c council meetings for the first time in nearly a month. Don't think I've ever previously gone so long between refuelling stops in my main car.

While I was doing that a Labour councillor stopped to fill his car at the opposite pump and we exchanged friendly pleasantries from well outside the 2 metres social distancing requirement distance. That was the first time I had spoken to a fellow-councillor other than on the telephone or by other electronic means since the St Bees Parish council meeting on 16th March.

One positive thing today: I have had terrible trouble with the IT equipment issued to me by CCC over what is coming up to three years, but the latest computer they have recently given me appears to work a bit better and I actually managed to have a decent skype conversation with a senior council officer today.  Now that we've finally got equipment that works I hope we can make more use of it.
Keep well everyone

Stay home: protect the NHS; save lives.
