Richard Denney RIP
It is very possible that a few readers of this blog will have met Richard Adrian Denney, whose funeral takes place at 2pm this afternoon at St John's Church Digswell. It will be a very small affair within social distancing guidelines and the family hope to organise a memorial service later in the year after the present COVID-19 restrictions are eased which more people will be able to get to.
A number of people who knew Richard Denny will be standing in silence for two minutes at 2pm today in his memory and I will be one of them.
Richard fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and it was that condition, not the Coronavirus, which eventually caused his death.
I have deliberately not referred to him has having lost the battle with cancer - we all eventually die of something and Richard managed to stay alive, stay cheerful, and bring cheer to others for a good number of years while living with the disease.
Rest in Peace
