Brexit: Plotting the next steps - what happens now?
An interesting Newsnight discussion on what happens next in respect of Brexit.
FWIW I think the prediction by Stephen Bush is most likely to be right. But Iain Dale and Hannah White made good points. I agree entirely with Iain Dale is that the one thing we can all agree on is that nobody is certain what will happen next!
(However I think Iain and Stephen are very probably also right that despite a lot of people wanting another referendum, there will not be a majority for it in parliament. There just isn't time to pass the legislation for one and then hold it before Britain leaves under Article 50. As Iain Dale said, there is going to be a lot of noise about a second referendum but "It ain't gonna happen.")
