£700 million to support the NHS
Today the government announced £700 million to support the NHS this winter – tackling waiting lists and improving care services, ensuring everyone can access the services they need when they need them.
- The pandemic has caused unavoidable strain on our healthcare services – we are committed to fixing the problems our NHS faces to ensure patients continue to receive the best possible care.
- That is why the Conservative government is allocating £700 million to improvement services across the NHS, including £300 million for upgrading services and £250 million to support new technologies – funding 783 schemes across 187 hospital trusts.
- The Conservatives are taking unprecedented steps to keep people healthy this year and support our NHS to fix the long-term challenges it faces as we build back better from the pandemic.
