Quote of the day 4th March 2018

“Typical bloody Tories. They never change.

This week we found out they’d appointed a new equalities adviser who is a racist, told MPs not to complain about antisemites in the party and taken cash from someone named on a leaflet claiming 'coloured immigration threatens your children’s health'.

Where were the petitions and marches and Lily Allen tweets condemning this outrage?

Oh no, wait, hang on. I’ve got it the wrong way round.

All these things happened in the Labour Party this week.

Silly me.”

“It also emerged that Labour HQ has been telling MPs what they can and can’t tweet about, including the membership of alleged Holocaust deniers. Mr Corbyn believes in total loyalty to the party leadership, as he was always telling Tony Blair while voting against the Labour government 428 times.

But the Max Mosley case is a special kind of stupid. He has been bankrolling Tom Watson, Labour’s deputy leader, who is so committed to accurate reporting that he stood in the Commons in 2012 and claimed there was 'clear intelligence suggesting a powerful paedophile network linked to parliament and No 10'. The link between intelligence and Mr Watson is less clear.”
