The Green Heat Network Fund
The government has launched a new £288 million Green Heat Network Fund, to support low carbon technology and as provide support to reduce the cost of energy and reduce our reliance on gas.
- The majority of homes in the UK are currently heated by gas. By moving to electricity and cleaner heat we can reduce our reliance on gas and slash bills.
- That is why the Conservative government is investing £288 million to boost the rollout of heat networks, which will support the uptake of low-carbon technologies like heat pumps, solar and geothermal energy.
- Heat networks are the most cost-effective way of reducing our reliance on gas, cutting bills and helping people keep more of their own money.
