Coronavirus diary: day 83

Some gentle rain today which I think the gardens and fields desperately needed.

Lots of conversations at work around trying to get  back to normal service without completely relaxing our guard against COVID-19.

And that's important because the virus has not gone away.

We're nearly through the first wave. Most pandemics in history have had more than one wave and the first one often isn't the worst killer.

Until we have a vaccine tested and found safe and effective and most of the population vaccinated - and although there is a lot of work going on, that position could be years away - there is a serious threat, if not a probability, of another wave.
