Brexit Bill passes Commons by 498 votes to 114
MPs voted tonight by 498 votes to 114 to give a "second reading to" (e.g. pass at this stage) the bill giving the PM the power to trigger Article 50 and start the process of taking Britain out of the EU.
Three hundred and nineteen Conservative MPs voted for the bill and only one (Ken Clarke) against.
Of the 114 votes against, 47 were Labour, 50 SNP, seven Lib/Dems, and there were ten others including Ken Clarke, Green MP Caroline Lucas and various PC, SDLP and Independent MPs.
