T-Levels
The first three T Level qualifications
will be
taught from September 2020, with a second wave being introduced in 2021, giving
more young people the opportunity and skills they need to get on in life.
Key facts:
· T Levels will be high-quality technical alternatives to A Levels, combining classroom theory, practical learning and an industry placement.
· The Education Secretary confirmed this week that new T Level qualifications in Digital, Education and Construction will be taught from September 2020, with further T levels in Health and Science taught from 2021.
· The Conservative government will support these T Level providers with an additional £3.75 million so they are ready to provide the courses by September 2020.
Why this matters:
T Levels represent a much needed, high quality alternative to A Levels, so more young people can access the education best suited
to them whilst gaining skills that will better equip our workforce.
