Birmingham Conference Diary - where are the computers?
For the last ten years or so every Conservative conference I have attended has had banks of computers available for the use of delegates. This has enabled me to check email and update my blog while at conference.
Not this time - the ICC has free WiFi and someone decided that this would be sufficient.
Rather a pain because I prefer to take the absolute minimum amount of clobber through the "airport-style" security checks and didn't want to carry a laptop around with me all day. Fortunately there is also free WiFi in my hotel.
