Giving students the best and fairest assessment
The government has today announced changes to guidance for students sitting exams this summer to allow them to fulfil their potential, by supporting them with the return to exams and helping them to focus their revision.
- Students have faced huge challenges to their education during the pandemic – our priority must be to provide all support necessary and ensure fairness when they sit their exams this summer.
- That is why GCSE and a level students will be given more information about the topics which will be in their exams, as well as formula sheets in maths, physics, and combined sciences, and a more spread out exam timetable to mitigate the risk of Covid to exam performance.
- Exams are the best and fairest form of assessment, which is why they will be taking place this summer, giving students a fair chance to demonstrate what they have learnt.
