Supporting Ukraine - remember the national minute's silence at 11 am

On Wednesday the Prime Minister spoke to President Zelenskyy ahead of the one year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine today, and he confirmed the UK’s intention to accelerate our support to Ukraine in the coming weeks and months.

  • Friday 24 February marks one year since Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and our support for the Ukrainian people will never waver.
  • There will be a national minute's silence at 11am today to remember all those who have died in Putin's illegal and unprovoked invasion.
  • The Prime Minister spoke to President Zelenskyy last night where the leaders agreed now is the time for Ukraine to seize the opportunity to make real progress on the battlefield and demonstrate that Ukraine will ultimately win.
  • Britain is committed to ensuring Ukraine has the capabilities it needs both now in and in the future.
