doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results is actually one definition of insanity.

Its odd really that some one as senior as the UK PM has not noticed the left have been doing exactly that for years and years.

G****n B***n, better known as HWSNBN, also tried it by "ending boom and bust" - yeah, that went well didn't it.

every time, every time, socialism has been tried in any form it has failed, no exceptions, every time! so has fiat currency, every time, every single time its been tried though out history, every single time, without exception.

I mean is it not time we started learning some lessons here.

only on radio cumbria on the way to work this morning they were talking about the BoE dropping its base rate to 0.25%, and some ISAs delivering 0.05% with inflation at 0.09% meaning we have actually hit negative interest.

Negative real interest rates are not unusual, though they are also in my opinion a bad thing.

Negative absolute interest rates are unusual and in my opinion are absolutely ridiculous, but some people who you would have expected to know better - including the ECB - have flirted with them.
