Yesterday the Prime Minister met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, further demonstrating our unwavering support for Ukraine.
- Britain has been at the forefront of the international response to the war in Ukraine by imposing harsh sanctions on Putin’s regime and providing Ukraine with vital supplies throughout the crisis.
- The Prime Minister visited Kyiv yesterday, demonstrating the UK’s steadfast solidarity with Ukraine. He set out new military and economic assistance of 120 armoured vehicles and anti-ship missile systems, and a further $500 million loan guarantee to Ukraine in addition to the £100 million of military equipment announced last week.
- Britain is stepping up our own military and economic support for Ukraine to bring this tragedy to an end, and ensure Ukraine survives and thrives as a free and sovereign nation.
- President Zelenskyy made clear that he and Ukraine will always be grateful for the support given by Britain, praised Boris Johnson's leadership, and called on other European countries to give similar support.
