Seventy years of service

Over the next four days, millions of people across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth will celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – a fitting tribute to her service and dedication over the past seventy years.

  • For seventy years the Queen has been the ultimate symbol of what it means to be British. Her steadfast leadership and unwavering service through good and bad has been an inspiration to so many.
  • That is why Britain is marking this historic occasion with the Queen’s Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour), the Service of Thanksgiving, and a Party at the Palace, along with over 200,000 local events. Big Jubilee Lunches are planned in more than 80 countries, and the government has extended licensing hours so people can celebrate the Jubilee in pubs and bars across England and Wales.
  • With four days of celebrations and millions around the world taking part, this weekend will be a fitting tribute and celebration of Her Majesty’s service in which every community can participate and enjoy.

Nice to see all the flags and buntin up. Its quite surprising though how many people with buntin are in distress.
(lots of people have the union flag flying down side up) common on the buntin but I am pleased to say much less common on the actual flags.

Unless you are lucky enough to have both sharp eyesight and a good knowledge of what the flag should look like, it is not that easy to tell whether the Union Flag is the right way up!

However, I take your point that the error is amusing!
