PM reiterates support for Ukraine

The forthcoming change of UK Prime Minister will not affect Britain's support for the Ukrainian people in their struggle to defend their country from Putin's unjustified and illegal invasion, and to reiterate this, yesterday the Prime Minister spoke with President Zelenskyy, reiterating the United Kingdom’s steadfast support for Ukraine.

  • Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine has led to over four months of fighting, risking the lives and livelihoods of millions of Ukrainians, many of whom have been displaced due to the war.
  • That is why the Prime Minister reiterated to President Zelenskyy our steadfast support for the Government and people of Ukraine, including providing £2.3 billion of military and humanitarian aid to boost Ukraine’s effort against the invasion and ensure Putin's invasion fails.
  • The people of Ukraine deserve the support of the international community and we have been leading the world in providing the aid they need as they continue their struggle against Putin’s invasion.
