The National Tutoring programme
The government has announced a major expansion of the National Tutoring Programme, backed by £1 billion, to provide high quality catch-up tutoring to 6 million students over the next three years and help them recover lost learning and fulfil their potential.
- Our priority as pupils return to school must be to help them catch up on lost learning in a safe and secure environment.
- That is why the government has announced a major £1 billion expansion to our National Tutoring Programme – giving schools greater flexibility to offer high quality 15 hour tutoring courses that meet the needs of their pupils – benefitting around 6 million pupils across the country.
- By providing extra support to millions of pupils, we give them the teaching they need to get the best possible start in life.
