Coronavirus diary, day 71
A lot going on in the news today
Wearing face coverings will be compulsory on public transport in England from 15 June, the transport secretary has said.
Grant Shapps said "every precaution" must be taken as passenger numbers were expected to increase when lockdown measures were eased further.
Coverings must be worn on buses, trams, trains, coaches, aircraft and ferries.
Very young children, disabled people and those with breathing difficulties would be exempt.
Also in the news today is a story which sounds more like a spoof. But it's on the BBC website so it must be true ...
Apparently a porn actor has been arrested and briefly detained in Spain on suspicious of manslaughter after a photographer died following a "mystic ritual" involving the venom from an endangered species of North American toad.
The press reports don't say what happened to the toad.
Had it been a member of an endangered species of British toad that would probably have been the main focus of the story - and if he got off on the murder charge the accused would probably be facing charges of animal cruelty and damage to the environment!
Keep well.
