Coronavirus diary, day 72
Colleagues around the country are telling me about inclement weather - and colleagues and friends in at least two parts of Cumbria have mentioned hail - but the only particularly notable aspect to the weather in Whitehaven has been that it has been very windy indeed.
MacDonalds in Whitehaven has re-opened as a takeaway and drive through. I gather that the queue of cars for the drive through has been something to behold.
This is not a criticism of anyone or an expression of snobbery. Although some people who hate capitalism have a particular axe to grind against MacDonalds the company has always struck me as a well run organisation and a good employer and it does not surprise me in the least that some people who have not had a chance to east a particular snack or meal for months should take the opportunity to do so.
Keep well
