Eighty million and counting
On Friday, figures showed that more than 80 million vaccinations have been administered across the UK, saving lives and providing the public with the protection they need against Covid.
- Vaccines are our route out of the pandemic – they are weakening the link between cases, hospitalisations and deaths, and so it is vital to ensure that everybody has access to this protection.
- That is why more than 80 million vaccinations have been administered across the UK, through the largest and most successful vaccination programme in NHS history – every adult has now been offered at least one dose, and over 34 million second doses have been administered.
- By getting jabs into the arms of the public, we will continuing to save lives and building our defence against this virus – allowing us to return to life as normal.
- If you have had your first jab, don't forget to get the second, as this will give you the strongest possible defence, especially against the Delta variant.
