It has unfortunately been necessary, due to a technical problem, to postpone the meetings to select the Conservative candidate to be Cumbria's next Police and Crime Commissioner, in succession to Richard Rhodes who finishes his term next year and is not seeking re-election.

All paid-up members of any of the six constituency Conservative associations in Cumbria are eligible to attend and vote at either of the two meetings in different parts of the county, which had been due to be held next week but will now take place in the week commencing Monday 19th October.

A good field of strong candidates applied and I look forward to being able to make a choice between those who attend the meeting, any of whom would do an excellent job.
