Nearly 200 people visit new West Cumberland Hospital facilities

I was one of 192 members of the public who attended the first of two open days held today and on Saturday to allow people to see inside the brand new £90 million West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven which will open its' doors to patients on Monday 5 October 2015.
    
The event was attended by extremely helpful members of staff who were on hand to answer questions about their new departments. I would like to thank all those who showed me and others around.

This will be the case again on Saturday when the hospital will be open to the public as follows:           
  • Saturday 26 September 2015 – 10.00am-1.00pm (last entry 12.30pm)

Its an odd one this, You see the facilities at the hospital are a place I never want to see, its just sort of good to know they are there if I ever need them.

Kind of in the way we have a great air ambulance service, but again, I hope you never see one.

I was moved to put the passage below forward as a quote today when I saw a horrible post on twitter from someone writing that it was "excellent" that someone who took a different view from her about Brexit had died. I won't write which way round it was so that all the Remain supporters can assume the post was from a Brexit fanatic welcoming the death of a remainer and all the Leavers can assume it was a Remainiac welcoming one less Brexiteer.
