New One-Way system at WCH

There has been a new one-way system for vehicles at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven for a few days and I gather it is still confusing people.

At the moment you have to drive clockwise round the outside of the hospital site. I believe this will apply until the new Accident and Emergency facility opens next week.

I'm not suggesting that there is a serious problem, there are good reasons for this.

I gather however that it has confused a few people who came into the hospital site while driving on "autopilot" and were not expecting to have a different system.

I thought it would do no harm to mention this so that anyone who has to visit WCH in the near future, hasn't already been since last weekend, and will be arriving by car would be forewarned that they will need to take a different route around the site.

What I meant was, there is a new system, and its signposted when you get there.
I was getting at the fact that people do seem to drive on autopilot a lot. I would have thought that driving the right way around a one way system, even if they have only just changed its direction, would not be that difficult. But, to some, it would appear so ......
