DC is in no position to gloat to be honest, last time it was a choice between useless and just less then useless.

Next time it may be an option to bring down the entire system, and in a way, that is not so unappealing.

DC's hand on the EU will cost him heavily in 2017, even it goes his way as we have discussed it can only lead to a second referendum, his negotiation is in tatters, and he has to go for associate membership and try to sell that as his victory, though he cant, he can only sell the promise of that as his victory.

He was really banking on article 48 and the simplified procedure, but the EU shot that down. Some fun times ahead I see.

The only option out of that one, is to declare that a stay in vote in the 2017 referendum did settle everything after all even though remain was promised on the grounds that there would be another referendum, and to state the referendum lock no longer applies.

which in turn would make the conservative party unelectable as they can't be trusted and could allow the election of Corbyn as PM in order to crash the current system.
