The eyes have it
Arrived home this evening after spending much of the day travelling between Whitehaven and Liverpool: I have had the lens of the second eye replaced at a clinic directly opposite the iconic Royal Liver Building in Liverpool.
The procedure appears to have gone smoothly. I am not in any pain or significant discomfort. the vision from the second eye has not really begun to stabilise yet though it does already appear better than it was before the operation and seems to be following much the same trajectory as the first eye (with which I am writing this). That suggests that vision in the eye will stabilise over the coming week. I gather it is not uncommon after surgery of this kind for vision to continue to gradually improve and settle over up to three months.
