Muhammad Ali RIP

One of the greatest sportsmen of all time, and a remarkable human being, the boxer Muhammad Ali died last night at the age of 74.

I am grateful to the Entrepreneur website for publishing a list of his greatest sayings from which the lines quoted below are an extract.

Rest in Peace.

On Aging

“A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.”

On Fortitude

“It isn’t the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe.”

On Preparation

“If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it—then I can achieve it.”

On Race

“The Nation Of Islam taught that white people are devils. I don’t believe that now; in fact, I never really believed that.”

On Victory

“The will must be stronger than the skill.”
