DC writes - helping you keep more of the money you earn

The Prime Minister writes:

At the last election the British people backed us to finish the job we started in 2010 – to continue to clear the deficit, grow our economy and create millions more jobs.

As well as taking the difficult decisions to reduce the deficit so that we live within our means, we have always been clear that those who work hard should be rewarded.

By raising the personal allowance we have taken almost 4 million of the lowest paid in our country out of income tax. Today, the personal allowance will rise yet again, meaning that no one earning under £11,000 will pay any income tax. This will be a tax cut for over 30 million people, and puts us well on course to fulfil our commitment of raising the personal allowance to £12,500 by 2020.

You can find out how much you have saved since 2010, using our income tax calculator.

Thank you for your support as we continue to deliver for the working people of Britain in the months and years ahead.

Dont get me wrong, I am all for increasing the tax threshold, but come on using lines like

"You can find out how much you have saved since 2010, using our income tax calculator."

erm, You mean, "you can find out how much less we have taken from you with out asking." - if that is what you mean then ok, but its hardly a saving is it.

Its more like dick turpin saying well I used to take 20p from every £1 over £5.60 you had, now I only take 20p for every £1 over £11 you have, and will soon raise that to to only taking 20p from every pound over £12.50 you have, I am saving you a fortune here.

DEMAND 5 - No taxation or spending without consent:

Oh yeah, I also note national insurance has been increased, but shhhhhhhh.

So with those comments in mind dont you think asking for a donation is, well at very least, a bit tasteless.

Its like saying "here you go dick, I would much rather be robbed by you than someone else, here is a tip."
